Holy Shit! Back in 2004 until i joined the Marines in 2007 I was with a team from the Temple, TX called Drift Stars. When I saw this site I freaked out. I can't believe it that I'm home now and the name Drift Stars is still around. I could only hope that you guys would welcome me in. Thank you for anyone who kept this group alive.

Ok, FF drifting is very real. I know there is alot of jokes aboput it, but yes its real. There are even professional drifter who drift FF cars, both D1 Grand Prix and Formula D. I'm a FF drifter myself and I'm very proud of it. I know I'm gonna get alot of shit about it, but I don't care. Anyways, if there are any FF drifters around or reading this and need help let my know. I can help with car setup and drift technique.

i have a few different options for fixing my car now that my automatic tranny is shot.. i could pay for it to get rebuilt, buy a used auto to replace mine (and hope nothing's wrong with it), or buy a used 5 speed and clutch kit, and all that stuff. i'm leaning more towards the manual conversion just because i could have some fun and it'd be good practice for when i get an sr swap.. my first thought was that it'd be a waste of money to get a manual ka tanny when i eventually want to ...

Miata or 1984 200sx?

OK, there is a guy on craigslist that has a 1984 200sx, RWD, 1.8l SOHC Turbo (CA18ET), and some other stuff. Im into Touge (downhill), so the miata would be bad ass for that, but this car is rare, its a nissan, and its turbo. I plan on going turbo in my miata, but I dont have enough money for the S12. What should I do? Trade the miata, or keep the miata?

exactly. I traded the miata for a 1982 Datsun 280zx. its a greyish black color, stripped interior, 2.8L I6 5spd with a harness/strut tower bar in the rear. you know what they say, 6 in a row makes it go! this build will be simple for now, but later on... RB26DETT!

Ive been drifting in my miata for while and taking all different kinds of turns with different types of drifts. For all who drift, you know the basic drifts, Clutch kick, E-Brake, and Power Over. Then you have the more advanced Faint, Lift Off, and Braking. I have found that you can take most 90 degree turns with the 3 basic types and wide 180 degree turns with the 3 advanced types.
